Every component you add to your shard canvas will appear on the layers menu in the box to the left.
The component at the top of the list is at the highest layer and will appear on top of any component of a lower layer if they overlap each other on the canvas.
You can bring each element up or down through the layers by selecting one and dragging it to the desired position so that the component you want to appear on top will be visible when multiple are stacked.
Grouping
By clicking on components on the canvas or dragging your cursor around several at a time you can create groups that can then be stored and moved together.
Once a group has been made you can show and hide the components in that group by toggling the dropdown icon in the layers menu.
Keep in mind that you can rearrange layers within a group the same way you arrange layers in the entire layers menu. All layering is in relation first to the group it is part of and then the layering list as a whole.
With a group or component selected from the layers menu you can open another menu for that specific component/group with the three vertical dot icon.
This brings up a list of available options which will also appear in the icons from the context menu on the canvas.
The Lock icon toggles the lock/unlock function which can prevent locked components on the canvas from being selected or modified.
The Eye icon can be toggled to make a component or group visible.
Rename will allow you to change the name of the component or group selected.
Duplicate will create a copy of whichever component or group is selected with all the same attributes.
Ungroup is only available when selecting a group or when a component is currently part of a group. This will remove all selected components from the group they are attached to.
Delete can be used to remove the selected component or group from the shard altogether.
Using these simple tools your shard will be neatly arranged into groups and layered properly in no time at all :)
