WebEmbeds are a powerful new tool within the GameGlass Forge, and as the saying goes: "with great power comes great responsibility" πŸ™‚

This article will inform how to setup an embedded element and also control it properly so that navigation is smooth and recoverable in any state.

1. From the Forge insert menu select WebEmbed:

2. Now you will see an empty window and a highlighted prompt to insert content url on the right panel:

3. Once applied you and all subsequent users will be asked to confirm that you wish to load this url:

Please note: GameGlass does not monitor nor validate content which is why careful selection of urls must be made as not all urls are designed by the content provider to function well as embeddable content. Some urls will not load within the Forge at all if this has been disallowed by the content owner.

4. Your embed window is resizable so choose the layout which most effectively captures the content of your chosen url:

Additionally you will notice an option to "Show Navigation" from the right panel. Enabling this function allows app users the ability to navigate back to the original url in cases where page elements redirect elsewhere than intended.

It is highly recommended to enable navigation whenever the page elements are not self-contained as the only other way to return to the default page is to reload the GameGlass app.

5. Once you are happy with the size of the embed and the location of nav buttons save your Shard and take it for a spin in the app to ensure touchscreen navigation behaves as expected:

And that's it! Have fun embedding all sorts of maps, compendiums, and utilities you may find across the great world-wide web πŸ˜ƒ
