GameGlass Overlay in Hub

Level Up Your Battlestation

Written by Michel Boudreau

Do you have a secondary touchscreen monitor like a Corsair Xeneon Edge? Ever wanted GameGlass Shards to work on the same PC as your game?

GameGlass Hub v8 now makes this a reality. An Overlay is now included with the Hub that doesn't affect the current focused window. Simply click the "Open Overlay" button in the sidebar to open up the Overlay window. You can also open as many as you want for all your different monitors, or you can have multiple instances in a single screen showing different shards.

Touch Input Without Stealing Focus

Previously, GameGlass Shards were primarily meant to run on separate devices like a phone or tablet. If you tried to run them on a secondary desktop touchscreen, Windows would treat a finger tap as a mouse click on a separate window, immediately "stealing focus" from your game.

The GameGlass Overlay bypasses this limitation completely. It enables seamless touch input without stealing window focus. You can tap, slide, and toggle your Shards on a secondary monitor, and your main game will keep running smoothly on your primary screen without dropping a frame.

The Overlay feature is only available on Windows at the moment. Support for Linux and Mac is planned in the future. Because this is a brand-new beta feature, we're actively looking for feedback - If you run into any issues, please let us know via email.
