Display, Resolution & Scaling Issues

If the GameGlass Desktop Software interface doesn't look quite right, learn how to fix it.

Written by Craig Sartor

Overview

If you are seeing layout issues in the GameGlass interface, these device settings changes may resolve things for you:

Windows device:

Check the Scale and layout settings in the Display settings and set this at 100%

Android, iPad, and Fire devices:

Adjust your Display Size (preferable) and/or Font Size settings, ideally, these should be set to default.

If default/normal doesn't resolve the layout issues then try small instead.

Please note: Our shards automatically scale up in resolution based on the resolution entered in the Forge and in our Premium shards use a standard of 1024x768 for 4:3 displays (such as ipad), 1280x720 is used for 16:10 displays (such as Amazon Fire and most Android tablets) and 428x926 is used for most smartphones.

If you are creating your own shard or using a community shard that doesn't follow these guidelines by setting a higher/native resolutions you may encounter scaling issues on certain devices so these recommendations are usually preferable and could be related to a scaling issue if only certain shards are showing unexpected scaling behavior.
